Beauty On A Budget - Makeup Revolution Golden Sugar 2 Palette

Not My own photo. Credits to Tam Beauty.
This review is going to focus on the Golden Sugar 2 ultra blush palettes from Makeup Revolution. The palette includes a selection of blushes, highlighters, and bronzing colours.

  • I got this palette about 8 months ago from superdrug, it cost only £6 and consists of 8 colours.
  • I got my hands on this because of all the raving reviews I had heard about the colour pay out and the pigment in the highlighting shades, and for only £6 I couldn't not give it a try!
  • The thing I love most about this is that because of the amount of shades I'm able to use this palette for all different things and do actually get a lot of use out of it, for example I often use different shades on my eyes; however the champagne-y highlight colour is to d i e for😍.
  • The packaging is sleek and classy, coming in a glossy black case with gold writing printed onto the front, on the inside there is a mirror and then the product underneath. The only thing I will say is that the mirror gets dirty very easily and is so hard to clean again.
  • The photo that I have provided really doesn't give the palette justice in my opinion and when applied they really are beautiful.

  • The third in from the right on the top is the highlight shade that I mentioned before, I literally use this shade every single day that I do my makeup i just love it! its so buildable and a little definitely goes a long way; I get soo many compliments whenever I wear it, I am definitely hooked and will be repurchasing the whole palette when I hit the pan (even if it is just for this shade)πŸ˜‚πŸ™ˆ
  • The only cons I would have for this palette is that the fallout can make the palette really messy, even though this can be cleaned up, it is a little annoying... I also don't really use the two matte shades on myself much, but that is only because the shades don't really work for me as contour colours.

I would 100% recommend this palette, it is so versatile and for the price I feel like you can't really go wrong! I would however suggest that you try and swatch the palette in the shop if possible just to make sure that it goes with your skin tone.

Beauty On A Budget - Maybelline Eraser Eye Concealer

In this upload I will be reviewing and talking about Maybelline's Eraser Eye Concealer. Maybelline describes this concealer as "perfect for the under-eye area, covering flawlessly", the website also says that the concealer will help to say "bye bye dark circles and lines".

  • this concealer cost me £8.99 from superdrug, I use it in shade NUDE. I have been using this concealer for about 2 months now.
  • I first heard about this concealer from all the different youtubers raving about it and about how full coverage it was.. so naturally I just had to get my hands on it!
  • The concealer itself comes with a sponge applicator attached, and you have to twist the lid in order to get the product to come onto the sponge... I find that it makes application so easy, and unlike other concealers you can actually see how much product you have left in the tube so you don't find yourself stuck one day when you've only had enough to do half your face!
  • The coverage on this concealer is exactly what makes it my total favorite, it is so good at hiding dark puffy circles under the eyes.. so perfect for early morning starts😍 it also applies so nicely on the skin, I use a Glamher Foundation brush (103) to blend it out.
  • Now for the cons... 😫 As much as I do love this concealer; there is only four shades, luckily NUDE works for me, but after looking into a lot of reviews on different sites a lot of people have said they haven't been able to find their shade and haven't ended up buying the product because of this. As well as this, i do like a concealer that I can use to really brighten and highlight, this concealer is one that can only really be used to cover dark circles - again due to the lack of a light enough shade.
  • Secondly... it is a bit of a pain that this is purely an under eye concealer as it wont cover spots or blemishes.

  • To conclude however, I would recommend this concealer, as it is extremely good at doing what it claims to and does cover under eye circles like a dreamπŸ‘Ό, it is also a good price and definitely does have staying power as it lasts allll day! I will definitely be repurchasing this once I run out.. Hope this helps!

Beauty On A Budget - NYX foundation

Image result for budget gif
I often find that as a student I can't always afford to top up and wear my favorite high end makeup every single day, so reviewing drugstore products made a lot of sense, hope you enjoy!
This week I will be reviewing ...
  • NYX stay Matte Not Flat Foundation
    • at only £6 this foundation is such a steal! NYX describes this foundation as full coverage, oil free and water based, and to be mineral enriched. I use this foundation in the shade NUDE.
    • First impressions of this foundation was that it is super thick, which worried me a bit at first because I thought it might be cakey, but as soon as I started putting it on my skin I loved it! it is so full coverage but not in a way that clings to dry spots, it also smells great.
    • I also quickly learnt that a little goes a loooong way with this one! two pea sized squirts easily cover my whole face.
    • I honestly felt that this was such a good dupe for MAC studio fix foundation, and at the price I was hooked!
    • The only bad thing I have to say about this foundation is that after a full day wearing it, it does separate quite a lot on my nose and around my T-ZoneπŸ˜“, and I did find myself topping up with a powder foundation quite a lot throughout the day.... But when I used the foundation again, I baked on and around my T-Zone and this problem was minimized, and plus I do have very oily skin so I'm sure that on drier skin you probably wouldn't have this problem as much as I did.

  • all in all I would definitely recommend this foundation, it definitely does offer a full coverage look and does last a long time (even if i do have to do a few touch ups throughout the day!). Its such a reasonable price, and does go such a long way, this foundation has now worked its way into my favorites and I use it as my go to day time foundation virtually every time.
